Shows that remind me of summer
And some personal musings (as always) on capacity.
Thank you to all new paid subscribers who joined after I put out my post announcing I would be giving 100% of the proceeds of new subscriptions to families in Gaza seeking mutual aid through Operation Olive Branch (until today, July 1)! I’m so pleased to say we’ve raised over $700 CAD in funds, which is pretty damn good for a little newsletter fundraiser. Funds will be distributed in the next week.
When I think of summer, I think of expansiveness. Time. Air. Sun. Long afternoons. Lounging. Sangria. I’ve been thinking a lot about television that accurately captures this season, and searching within that for the escape out of our real-life summer, which is imbued with heat domes, election anxiety, and livestreaming genocide.
